Project Name : Sales Information Reporting System

Description:

Cisco systems is one of the leading electronic components companies of USA. The main objective of this project is to analyze the sales information. Currently CISCO system has over 300 distinct systems associated with orders and sales data. These instance are at various locations through out the global. The data mart gets data from different heterogeneous relational i.e Oracle and flat file sources. Design has been done to replace the existing code into Informatica. Logic has been designed through Informatica mappings to cleanse the data and load the data into the data mart. Cognos is used to develop the reports according to the client’s requirement. Autosys is used as a scheduler tool to coordinate the applications.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding existing business model and customer requirements.

• Programmer performing all development, documentation and troubleshoot the ETL(Extraction, Transformation, load).

• Analyzed requirement specifications, coding the program and developed test plans.

• Designed and developed complex Aggregate, Join, Lookup transformation, Stored Procedure to generate consolidated (fact/summary) data identified by dimensions using Informatica8.6.0

Description:

Cherry Electricals is an electrical product’s manufacturing organization. The Cherry has different vendors and customers. This project is provides complete historic information related with their inventory by developing the data warehouse that stores all the necessary data of last five years related with company. This data warehouse is built in Oracle DBMS.

Responsibilities:

• As Data Warehouse Developer developed various Informatica Mappings, Mapplets and Transformations for migration of data from various existing systems to the Datawarehouse using Informatica Designer.

• Used various Transformations like Expression, Filter, Joiner, Lookup, Stored Procedure, and Router to migrate and clean data.

• Designed the ETL code in Informatica 8.6.0 to populate the Data Mart from flat files and oracle source.

• Scheduling jobs to refresh the data from the transactional system using Informatica server Manager.

• Optimizing/Tuning mappings for better performance and efficiency.
