Chainage Km 163+000 to Km 259+453) in the state of Orissa to be executed as BOT (Toll) Project

on DBFOT pattern under NHDP Phase III

Role : Technical Head

Duration : March’11-Till date

Total Cost : Rs. 722 Crores

Description

Responsible for ramping up of the project.

Coordinating the liaison with local authority.

Representing company before NHAI for all matters

Monitoring the PMC and EPC to cater their best output to the project.

Coordinating with the HO for day to day activity.

Report preparation like weekly MIS for HO and Monthly Progress for LIE.

Certification of RA bill of EPC and PMC.

Conducting Review meeting with PMC and EPC.

Prompting smartly to resolve all sorts of issues for the execution and suggest proactive actions.

Responsible for Km 377.000 to Km 421.273 , a 44.273 Km stretch

Proper monitoring and rescheduling of the resource based programme implemented at site

Optimum resource utilization (manpower and equipments) to gain the optimum out put and minimizing the time delay.

Ensuring the work is as per quality specifications related to the project and strict compliance.

Achieving the time stipulated financial progress of the project.

Title : Four laning and Strengthening of existing 2-lane Carriageway from Km 373.275 to 426.600 of Dindigul to Samyanalore section of NH-7 in Tamilnadu on BOT basis - Contract Package TN-05.

Description

Responsible for Km 398.000 to Km 413.000,a 15 Km stretch and construction of TOLL PLAZA.

Supervising the construction of all sorts of Highway activities as per design and drawing and not the least quality referring to drawing and Contract.

Completing the assigned tasks and achieving the end product in time,

Avoiding rework and wastage of material, any hinder to the subsequent activity.

Liaisons with Government bodies for utility shifting, Tree cutting, Land Acquisition.

Conducting Traffic Surveys.

Role : Field Engineer (Highways)

Duration : Feb’05-Aug’06

Total Cost : Rs. 330 Crores

Responsible for the stretch from 30.000 km to 45.000 km.

Supervising the construction of Embankment, Subgrade, GSB, WMM, DBM, BC and Kerb as per the levels and quality referring to drawing and Contract.

Laying Geotextile & Installation of Band-drain in high embankment in bridge approaches as per drawing.

Assisting the Highway Engineer in releasing and any modification of GFC drawings.

Title : Construction of Additional link including Road work and structures in Visakhapatnam port area from Junction on NH-5 (near Ayyappan Temple) to Visakhapatnam port.

Role : Field Engineer (Highways)

Duration : Feb’02-Jan’05

Total Cost : Rs. 100 Crores

Handled Initial embankment of 73cm height for laying BAND DRAIN in the Ground Improvement portion of 4 Km length (New Alignment) @ 1.15m triangular spacing.

Sand blanket satisfying IS-383 (zone-I) of 60 cm depth over the band drain.

Laying GEOTEXTILE over sand blanket as per design and drawing.

Widened existing carriageway into 4-lane of 4km length.

Involved in removal of unwanted earth for the new carriageway portion of 4-lane and construction of embankment, subgrade, GSB, WMM, DBM, BC & Kerb.

Oct’00-Jan’02 worked with SMJ RK SD (JV) as Deputy Material Engineer

Title : Strengthening and widening of existing Carriageway into four laning from Sunakhala to Khurda (Km 338 to Km 388) of Visakhapatnam to Bhubaneswar Section of NH-5

Role : Deputy Material Engineer

Duration : Oct’00-Jan’02

Total Cost : Rs. 153 Crores

Overall in charge of the laboratory set up at Chandeswar.

Handled all types of tests for GSE such as Compaction Test, Sieve Analysis, Specific Gravity, Differential Free Swell and Atterbergs Limit.

Acquired approval of Borrow Area for embankment and subgrade filling, which includes tests as specified for GSE and also CBR Analysis & GSB Material obtained from the GSB Crushing Plant, which includes Gradation, CBR, Los Angles Abrasion test and 10% Fines Value.

Conducted Impact Value Test for WMM. Involved in Field Compaction Test for embankment, subgrade, GSB, WMM, DBM & BC.

Ensured work is being done as per MORT&H Specification, ISO of Practices & IRC code of practices.

Oct’98-Sep’00 worked with SMEC International Pty Ltd., Australia as Assistant Engineer

Title : Orissa State Roads Project, Preparation of DPR for selected roads out of 335 Km for Improvement and 1000 Km. for maintenance funded by World Bank.

Role : Assistant Engineer

Duration : Oct’98-Sept’00

Handled different types of tests in the site such as Benkelman Beam Deflection test, Dynamic Cone Penetration Test for designing of required overlay, Road and Bridge Inventory and Pavement condition survey.

Functioned as in charge on behalf of the Consultant for all types of laboratory testing required for soil and aggregates obtained from site and Quarries.

Assisted in Analysis of data required and obtained of field for the designing and preparation of overlay design as per IRC standard.
