Development of FE code for the analysis of strain localization in elastic softening materials

It consists of simulating mesh dependency of strain localization effect without using non-local strain when an imperfection is given to a tensile bar at the center. Stress is a function of strain and damage. And finally showing mesh independent results when nonlocal strain is used in calculation of damage (calculated using averaging technique over small area around each gauss point).

B.E Project:

Conversion of mechanically driven horizontal axis of surface grinding machine into hydraulically driven axis.

It consists of designing a flow circuit diagram for continuous horizontal to and fro motion of worktable until the whole surface of a work is grinded while the transverse feed is given to work manually.
