Creating VIO LPARs with their resources processor, memory and their virtual disks, I/O adapter management, mirroring disks. VIO Backup/Restore and online resources’ modifications using dedicated coded scripts like increasing or decreasing online LPAR memory.

Arranged and managed the DR site. The most interested thing was the restore scenario as we implemented an identical scenario and restored the whole environment to DR site using TSM backups and it was successful.

Installation and configuration of IBM Tivoli storage manager for enterprise resource planning SAP to backup ERP SAP for Oracle under a cluster environment hacmp with AIX 5.3 and the backup was LANFree backup over SAN. The restore had been successfully tested on DR site.

Successful TSM restore stories:
etisalat, restoring the two DB2 database servers’ data completely successful and to use those date by the database admin to create a new fresh installation servers and start the database normally.
ECC Maximo, restoring the whole server as an image object restore, means that the taken backup was done as an image backup object, the restore done completely successful using a third party tool
BDC website, Bank de Caire of Egypt, restoring some files of the site contents that were corrupted, the website refreshed again and started normally
Egypt Post, restoring the whole MS-Exchange 2003 server to a new server, new MS-Windows 2003 server installation and new MS-Exchange 2003 installation using IBM Tivoli Data Protection for MS-Exchange, the process done completely successful and the MS-Exchange administrators were grateful for that backup solution, the TSM
SNS Egypt, restoring the MS-Certificate Authority files.
