Objective: To Provide Technical expertise of piping Engineer Support to Project Management, Supply Division and Project Control Through all Phases of major Projects.

Project discipline Engineering

All the plant design & piping engineering and design activities (see deliverable list for details) required for the successful completion of the assigned project/proposal.

- Perform Quality checks on plant design & piping engineering documents issued by the Junior Plant Design & Piping Engineers

- Perform the interdisciplinary checks on the engineering documents as foreseen by the engineering procedures.

- Perform checks and reviews of documents provided by external agencies and Technology providers (licensors)

- Coordinate the plant design & piping activities of the internal team and of the subcontractors, technology providers (licensors) or other external stakeholders.

- Ensure that the relevant information flow is optimal in timing and quality.

- Identify optimal techno-economical solutions for the project smooth development.

- Ensure compliance with the applicable standards, specifications, procedures and good engineering practices with special regard to HSE and Quality.

- Maintain and foster the links with the other project functions promoting efficient and seamless interaction for fast track project execution.

- The profile shall be responsible for the above through directly executing the relevant necessary activities or coordinating the activities of Junior Plant Design & Piping Engineers assigned to him/her on a project basis. This will depend on the specific project workload scenario.

The NCS-2 pipeline system consists of the following items:

- Offshore pipeline is approximate 325 km to transport 2 phase gas, starts from The Hai Thach Platform passes the Central Processing Platform of Thien Ung field, Bach Ho and then runs to a Landfall Station at Long Hai.

- Onshore pipeline is approximate 9 km, from Long Hai Landfall Station (LFS) to Gas Processing Plant (GPP2) at Dinh Co.

- Gas Processing Plant (GPP2) at Dinh Co.

- Onshore dry gas pipeline is approximate 30 km, from Dinh Co GPP2 to Gas Phu My Distribution Central (GDC). The onshore pipeline includes:

Line block valve station (LBV) at Phuoc Hoa.

Phu My GDC expansion: Only pig receiver, metering skid and tie-ins.

- Two liquid product pipelines (LPG & Condensate) is approximate 25 km from outlet ofDinh Co GPP2 to transport to Thi Vai Terminal and 03 LBVs.

Supervision, and monitoring the field piping engineer activities for different piping systems (Oil, Natural Gas, Glycol, Air Utility, fire water, Flair,…etc), reading and reviewing ( GA’’2D’’, Isometric, P&ID ) drawings, punch lists flushing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, hydro test, leak tests…etc

Developing the process design for small projects or proposal consisting of a normal piping system component. And make the required bill of materials according to the international cods & standards such as:

ASME/ANSI. (B31.3, B31.8, B31.4……..)

Provide the mechanical engineering expertise, this include preparation of engineering packages/drawings/specifications for in-house engineering projects. And Revising engineering designs prepared by international consultants.

Making the fluid handling studies for the different networks network types (gas, Oil, water). And pressure drop calculations

Study the troubles of different operating systems and advise the suitable solution according to the international standards such as:

API (14C, 14E,)

BP specification

Provides a reliable process engineering assessment using the most widely used process simulator (HYSYS)

Evaluating pump performance and updating its performance curves according to its current condition. And participating in the design of component parts and individual units; reviewing and monitoring designs for conformance with control estimates and project specifications (Sizing and rating of Control Valve, PSV, Orifice Plate, Piping & Pipelines, Pumps, and Separators).

Acts as a reference source to other Departments Includes liaising with Production, General Maintenance and to HSE Division, furnishing them with technical information as requested, suggesting improvements in their field of work and assisting in developing improvements initiated by them
