Design and Modeling of WORK ROLL Changing Device in SENDZIMIR mill (Cold Strip Mill). This is done at Stainless Steel Plant (SAIL), Salem.

In this project, a material handling equipment for work roll changing in SENDZIMIR mill is designed and modeled using CATIA V5.The WORK ROLL changing device is designed to overcome the manual replacement of work roll .The designed WORK ROLL changing device is a semi-automatic equipment comprises significant mechanisms, simple in construction, easy handling and suitable for present condition under work space limitation.

OTHER PROJECTS

• Assembly of a Single Plate Clutch used in automobiles.

All components are created in part modeling individually and later assembled as a Single Plate Clutch using CATIA V5.

• Assembly of a screw jack.

All components are created in part modeling individually and later assembled as a screw jack using CATIA V5.

INDUSTRIAL TRAINING

• Undergone “GKN Driveline” at Chennai, December 2009(2 weeks).

• Learned manufacturing processes for “Constant Velocity Joint & Constant Velocity Axle used in Cars” and got familiar with an industrial environment.
