Huawei is a leading global information and communications technology solutions provider.

AdaptiveLM is the library which provides licensing solutions to various lines of products of Huawei.

This library contains set of APIs which can be used by product lines.

The newly included APIs and modified APIs functionality need to be tested with different product scenarios.

Our client Flexera Software involves in providing software solutions for electronic licensing and Software asset management.

The product, Flexnet publisher is a method of providing software licensing. The language used for this product is C.

This product can be tailored with any other applications to provide licensing management for that application.

This product has to be tested in 17 different operating systems. The test suite is automated using Perl and python framework.

In a team of 15, I am one of the senior project engineer involved in -

Description:

Our client March Networks, Canada is involved in supplying video surveillance products.

In their products they used a language named MAPL, which is similar to C++.

The purpose of the project is porting an application written in MAPL from PC architecture to PPC architecture.

It is working fine for GCC 2.9.6. The same application has to be upgraded to work in GCC 3.4.3.

The application depends on many dynamic third party libraries which includes SSL, SDL, SDL_image, SDL_ttf, DirectFB, boost etc.

All these libraries need to be compiled with PowerPC compiler. The main architectural difference is ENDIANESS.

The cross compiled code should be tested by writing scripts.

The file system for the target product has to be generated using SHELL script. The functionality of the script is to place the binaries, utilities, and libraries in place; in addition the required daemons like httpd, snmpd, dhcpd should be cross compiled, added to the file system and tested.

Responsibilities: Design, Development and Testing

In a team of 7, I am one of the senior project engineer involved in-

• Cross compiling the libraries and the application.

• Lead a test team of 4 members.

• Writing MAPL scripts to test the application.

• Testing the services like dhcpd, httpd, snmpd in the target file system

• Utilities testing

4) NT PORTING

Description:

This is a system software project. Omron is delivering PT of different series.

NT31 System program has been modified and implemented to work for another series NT30.

For cost effectiveness this porting project was done.

Initially porting of the existing firmware Software running on the NT series terminals to the Platform with the “New Graphic Controller” was done.

This project was done to simulate the Preprocessor Module in software to reduce the Gate count in FPGA.

Previously the Preprocessor module was implemented in the hardware. The functionalities of this project include updating certain registers, setting the flag and filling up the command.

Responsibilities : Design, Development and testing

In a team of 12, I am a project Engineer and involved in –

• Analysis and Design of each module of the project

• Data analysis of major parts is done by me. The data format of NT30 is different from NT31.So each and every bit of data is analyzed and mapped to NT31.

• Implementation of some modules of system software which includes touch switches part, local window.

• Coding is in C

• Preparation of Unit & Integrated Test Procedures

• Unit Testing , Integrated Testing and Implementation

• Bug fixing and follow-up testing during maintenance

• Involved in system testing of other NT product which was ported in Wipro.

5) DIAGNOSTIC SOFTWARE FOR NT

Description:

The purpose of the software system is to design and develop test cases for target board and implementing the algorithms to check the functionality.

Advanced Graphics Controller chip (referred to as AGC) was designed by Wipro Technologies for NT11 Programmable Terminal used in Factory automation.

Project involves design and developing the Diagnostic software for the AGC.

CModel was a simulator for the target processor. The algorithms were first implemented in the software to check the output.

It was a completely host based program that simulated the functionality and instruction set of the target processor.

The human interface was almost similar with additional features for checking the register with various values.

Hardware design and this project went hand by hand.

Responsibilities : Design, Development and Testing the FPGA board

In a team of 4, I involved in –

• Design and implementation of test cases for the target board.

• Involved in implementing the algorithms for drawing processor.
