I am looking for the position of an Thermal Insulation Engineer / Coating / PFP / supervisor, QA/QC Inspection. I have been working Offshore for 18 years and now I look for a new challenge in this or similar position. Having experienced the many roles within our industry has helped me to understand how each role should be carried out. I am very confident with any position that I am giving within my scope. I am a self motivated individual with a positive approach to achieving all my future goals and I have a strong desire to further my employment prospects in the UK or overseas. Overseas work is a challenge, a chance to gain further knowledge of different coating systems and practices within the industry.

My main duties included the execution of Thermal Insulation/Coating Contractual requirements and obligations, from tender stage to final completion and handover.

My duties also included prioritizing of workforce and work scopes, dealing with client engineering queries and the general management of all company Insulation/ Coating works on a day to day basis. Ensuring that contracts were always delivered upon schedule and within budget always offering a high end quality result for our Clients. I was heavily involved with the management, engineering and quality services for cryogenics Insulation/ Coating and executed some of the worlds largest cryogenics Insulation / Coating projects. Final Inspection of all day to day Insulation, Blasting, Painting, Coating jobs carried out in coordination with the clients requirements. Ensure compliance to customer specification for Painting/ Coating works (PCSI-12 as per SP-1246) and Clients approved Quality Control Plan (ITPs). Conducting necessary Prequalification test for paints, paint systems, blasters, painters and making availability necessary qualification certificates. Measuring WFT, DFT, Peel Test for Shrink Sleeve Coating, High Voltage holiday inspection for Stoppaq wrapped coating Shrink Sleeve, 3 Layer PE Coating, PFP, Fireproofing etc, Witnessing Stage Wise inspection as per approved ITP for various Insulation. Moisture Test (ASTM-D4263), Concrete Tensile Strength (ASTM C1583/C1583M), Dust Test (ISO-8502-3), Holiday Test (NACE SP-0188) for heavy duty crack bridging corrosion resistant lining system for concrete sumps, foundations, manholes, etc.

Selected the paints from International marks / NORSOK, inspected and supervised for all painting projects like Tanks Vessels, Pipelines and all fabricated spools. I was also responsible for the safety of the workforce always ensuring a safety first critical policy. To participate in and be involved in Behavioral Environmental Auditing, Risk Assessment, Safety Conversations.

My professional experience within insulation industry began as a hands on insulator and sheet metal worker where I obtained the City & Guilds qualification in Thermal Insulation Engineering and Sheet Metal Working. I have subsequently worked my way throughout the industry with my career development plan leading me from hands on insulation application into Thermal Insulation / Coating Engineering and Inspection as well as Project Management of a large scale Insulation and Fabric Maintenance Projects.

I have vast experience with varied insulation materials and strategies working with Thermal, Cryogenics and Acoustic materials. My hands skill on experience have enabled me to offer and deliver high end insulation/coating engineering solutions which have proved valuable to mt previous employers. I hold exceptional problem solving skills and can adapt to various roles within the insulation/coating industry be it management, inspection, supervision or engineering this has proved of great benefit for my previous employers where I have filled numerous roles and positions. At the moment we are working on Corrosion Under Insulation Project, we have covered a lot of areas in this field under the C.U.I. Project.

My key skills would be organization and man management. Organizing work will be carried out efficiently & speedily. I have learned that with good commutation, work is carried out safely and to correct specification, all of this will result in commercial success.

I am fully conversant with the differing aspects/properties of various Cryogenic (cold-work) insulation materials, such as cellular glass, PIR/PUR (polyisocyanurate/polyurethane) foams, and to some extent nitrile rubber which I used more in chilled as oppose to cryogenic services. I have lots of experience with various insulation materials and joint 'fit-up' for slide-through and fixed anchor insulation systems. I have used many different sealants, vapor barriersconsisting of thixotropicmastic's reinforcing scrim, triplex Mylar foil & tape systems.. I have experienced in the following documentation and familiarization in : ASME B.31.3. ASTM A167,B209,C169,C177,C302, C303,C411, C477, C547, C591, C680, C871, D1000, D1621, AMID1622,D1623, D2842, D5385, D6226, E84/Rev A, E96/E96M. To adhere to all quality system and quality controls, Document control-to inspect Insulation, Steam and Condensate pipe work, Reactor Vessels, G.R.P. Cladding, Fire Proofing penetrations and Fire Wall Ratings, Full involvement in Method Statements and Agree Systems giving me a wide experience in this field. Consolidating punch lists and releasing work for commissioning, Act on QA & QC procedures, any Technical Queries and Engineering Instructions, follow up any actions required. where applicable issue non-conformance reports and follow up corrective actions and close out.
