Plant Lean Manufacturing Champion

Initiated and implemented Kaizen team cost saving projects and led 5-S programs throughout the Plymouth facility. Reduced operating costs by $1.4M annually. Leveraged this success for the organization by providing expertise to eight additional plant locations.

Engineered Products Center of Excellence Team Leader

Led company-wide team of experts from each facility responsible for improving quality. Held monthly meetings and developed action plans for issues that impacted all locations. Setup Reduction Champion

Responsible for reducing setup time on all lines from over two hours to single minute change over. Replicated this for ten different lines. Based on this success, selected to train a setup champion for the eight other locations.

TPM (Total Productive Manufacturing) Champion

Responsible for increasing productivity and reducing maintenance costs. The baseline data reflect a plant OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) of 71%. After implementation the OEE is 87%. World Class OEE is 85%.

Lead-time Reduction Project

Led project that resulted in reducing lead-time by 50% on all manufactured and purchased products. Utilized time and scrap reduction from quicker setups. Reduced lead-time from eight work days to four days in a six month period without any added costs.

Maintenance Crib Reorganization Project

Led project that reduced the cost of this support system by 50%. Reorganized the information system to control part stock. Created usable reports for predictive and preventative maintenance. These changes reduced administrative labor by 50% and reduced inventory by 70% without any impact on manufacturing.
