STUDY TITLE & OBJECTIVE:

Clinical trial data Management operations and analysis.

16 weeks study, Multi center, Randomized, Placebo - controlled, Sequential Dose Response Clinical Trail designed to determine safety and effectiveness and Tolerability of 5, 10 and 15 mg Olmesartan Medoxomil capsules Administered Once daily versus placebo capsules administered once daily.

ROLE: SAS programmer

STUDY DESIGN:

Multicenter Design study drug will be administered in three sequential patients Cohorts. In the first Cohort patients will receive either 5mg or placebo .The second Cohort patients will receive either 10 mg or placebo The third Cohort patients will receive either 15mg or placebo

STUDY POPULATION:

As per protocol trials are running in 35 centers and each center should be 20 subjects enrolled and study population going to 700 in order to completed 320 subjects as a sample size.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Access derived dataset from server which are converts into SDTMIG specifications.

Run data cleaning operations as per analysis.

Create analysis datasets from SAP and SOP standards.

Generates reports in listing and tables from safety data (DM, LAB, ECG,CM,AE,VT) according to guidance of SAP document.

Compile reports as per templates which are given by the clients.

Involved in using PROC SORT and PROC SUMMARY to get the Summary Statistics of different classes of drugs.

Involved in using Base SAS (MEANS, FREQ, TABULATE, REPORT) and SAS/STAT procedures for summarization, Cross-Tabulations, and statistical analysis purposes.

Project Description:

I was presented with an opportunity to do a highly skilled Clinical Trail Project with Statistical Analysis in SAS. My primary focus was to present the best result using Statistical Tools in SAS. This project was with regards to ‘Placebo-Controlled, Clinical trial of high-dose supplementation with vitamin C and E, Beta-Carotene and Zinc for Age-Related Macular Degeneration and Vision Loss’. In this clinical trial project, I have used appropriate Statistical Tools and Techniques like summary statistics, one sample and two sample t tests, correlation, regression, multiple regression, logistical regression, analysis of variance (ANOVA).

Responsibilities:

• Received the RDS from CRA and distribute the task to the team members.

• Extracting the data using proc Import.

• Cleaning the data using data validation techniques i.e. proc freq, proc sort,

Proc print, proc means. .

• Generating master tables using proc Tabulate.

• Analyze the data with suitable statistical techniques using SAS/STAT.

• Presenting different types of reports using proc Report.

• Generating different types of outputs using ODS and SAS/Graphs.
