Thank you for your consideration. I’m motivated, willing to learn and scrub or assist in any type of surgical cases, very hardworking, and would just like to take advantage of this opportunity to work for you! I'm able to work Mon.-Fri. and am flexible with the hours. Will arrive with reliable transportation. I am very knowledgeable of different types of surgical procedures. Most of my assisting experience comes from L-scope G.Y.N. and open G.Y.N. I have scrubbed and assisted in General, GYN, my specialty, Plastics, Ortho and E.N.T.. I graduated from Houston Community College for Health Care Professions on August 19th 1998 and this is where I obtained my Surgical Tech Certification. I obtained my certification as a Surgical in 2001, and my First Assistant Certification in 2004. I am still current with both titles.

My previous employments:

09/2005- Current. Fannin Surgicare. I came here with a well rounded knowledge of GYN, General, Ortho, Plastics, Podiatry and E.N.T., thanks to my previous employees. I helped to open the facility on September 30th 2005. Was the first Surgical Tech employed. I am known as the Lead Tech. I am usually the go to person if there are any questions. I scrub in a lot of Pediatric and Gynecological procedures. I also scrub in a lot of Laparoscopic, General and Micro E.N.T. cases, such as Tympanoplasty, with Mastoidectomy, and O.C.R. I scrub Podiatry and Plastics procedures, as well. I also, do Sterile Processing. I was also the Materials Manager off and on for about 4 months. I still am the back up Material Manager. I also work in Sterile Processing . Working here, I am able to assist the surgeon more, do to the fact that this is an out patient facility, It is usually the scrub and the surgeon. This helps me in keeping up with my assisting skills.

04/2001-09/2005 Memorial Hermann North West Hospital. Was a surgical Tech III, Preceptor, my rigorous work ethic helped me to receive these titles. Did mostly G.Y.N here. I learned how to do sinus surgery and some surgeries like Thyroidectomies and Parodidectomies. Did some Ortho, totals and partial joint replacements. Received my Certification for Certified Surgical Tech, 2001 and also received the First Assistant certification in 2004. Some of the surgeons here helped me in getting some hands on training as an assistant. I went through ACESA for one week to get my hands on training on tying and suturing techniques.

12/98-04/2001 Diagnostic Hospital. This is where I learned the most. Scrubbed in every type of surgery cases. Learned Central Processing, as well.

08/1998-12/1998 Texas Children’s Hospital. Scrubbed mostly in T&A, Myringotomies and Pedi General cases..

I enjoy challenging cases as well as new cases. I love to see and scrub new cases that I have never seen. This is what allows me to be a better Surgical Tech and First Assistant. I enjoy surgery, helping patients get to there optimal health, being part of the Surgical Team and last, but not least, meeting new people. I hope that you give me the chance and the opportunity of becoming a part of your team. Thank you!
