RESPONSIBILITY :-

Design of Mechanical system of Power Transformer Up to 400 KV

1) To finalize & prepare fabrication drawings

2) Preparation of Tender and Customer drawings (OGA, IGA, Transportation, foundation, etc).

3) Preparation of Layout (internal and external), Bill of Materials, Cutting plan, etc.

4) Designing and preparation of Fabrication drawings (Tank, End frame, etc).

5) Interaction with suppliers/ fabricator to resolve various issues regarding manufacturing methods, process, etc.

5) Checking of drawings.

6) Standardization of various component of Transformer.

PROJECTS HANDELED

Design Package: Unigraphics NX7. Autocad2005, 2006, 2011

Description: Design of power transformer by using electrical design output, preparation of layout, layout includes, freezing of internal dimension of tanks, lead running and lead takeouts, frame design (top and bottom frame), desidation of terminal position on tank cover as per customer specification. Design of coil supporting plate form. fixing of DOF arrangement. Flitch plate calculation.

Following sections are involved in design complete transformer.

PREPARATION OF CUSTOMER DRAWINGS:-

Customer drawing are prepare with the help of output coming from design review meeting with customer, customer specification documents, and input from marketing dept.

Following customer drawing are submitted for approval.

1) General outline:- showing various accessories mounted on transformer, bill of material, clearance table (phase to phase and phase to earth as per customer specified standard), transformer earthling details, untanking height of bushing, total weight and oil quantity, terminal position and their dimensions,etc.

2) Foundation drawing.

3) Valve location drawing.

4) Transport outlines drawing.

5) Cable box asm drawings (oil to oil and oil to air)

EXTERNAL DESIGN (TANK AND COVER) :-

External design of transformer involve, design of tank and cover, calculation of proper stiffening arrangement for both tank and cover.underbase design, base plate design, selection of roller as per the total weight of transformer, selection of Turrets dia. as per stress cone of bushing, cooler pipe design, conservator selection and selection of cops bags. Preparation of conduit cabling drawing.

INTERNAL DESIGN:-

Internal design of transformer involve, preparation of lead disposition and lead take out, design of frame (top and bottom, top stay with locating pin, base foot), design of flitch plate, design of top sector and bottom coil supporting platform, design of insulation components (flitch plate insulation, top yoke bottom yoke insulation, insulation below base foot, bottom yoke support, end limb packing), Design of OLTC bracket for OLTC mounting. Preparation of connection drawing, design of support board for lead running. Preparation of core earthling drawing.

ACHIVEMENTS:-

1) Successfully Design and in-house manufacturing of piping for Sergi fire fighting system (MTPA SYSTEM) as this system is newly introduce in Crompton greaves, and it was coated at very low prize. And actual cost of the system is very high. so I have design it’s piping in-house and save near about 25 laces rupees. My work gets appreciated from design head.

2) Design and development of insulated stud for bottom foot.

III. 125 MVA Transformers for TATA Power.

IV. 500 MVA, 400Kv/220/33Kv (INDIA’S LARGEST RATING TRANSFORMER) FOR POWER GRID CORPORATION INDIA.

V. 315 MVA, 400/220/33 Kv rating for damodhar valley corporation (RIL)

VI. 75/90 MVA, 132/34.5 Kv rating for gulfar project (OMAN)

VII. 25/33 MVA 161/16.9/6.58 Kv rating for GRIDCO GHANA
