This involves writing systems that interact with purchased application, including designing custom reports for internal and external customers, databases for functions not part of primary application, creating interfaces into and out of primary application. Develop ad hoc queries used to find or support operational issues. Interface between IBM i and Windows servers. Established BCD Nexus software as extranet. Installed BCD Catapult for report distribution, eliminating approximately 80% of paper usage and removed two previously heavily-used printers. Installed and configured Joomla software as company intranet with custom PHP and jQuery used for custom grids & charts. Developed procedures for client and vendor data transfers.

Developed and enhanced custom applications. Developed freight charge estimation system used for small carriers (UPS), LTL (direct and drop shipments). Interfaced web orders with order processing system using MQ Series. Developed Marketing process to extract sales history information from two IBM i systems for catalog production.
Miniature Precision Components: June 1988 – November 1991
Responsible for application development for automotive supplier. Hired to take over maintenance of EDI software/release requirements processing. Developed simple EDI translator to process ANSI X.12 AIAG documents. Interfaced release requirements with MAPICS/DB MRP-II application. Designed custom front-end to capture payroll information, interfaced with MAPICS/DB payroll application.
