Electrical Engineer – Scope of duties focus on providing field engineering services, on-site project management of industrial projects, technical liaison between end-user and vendors, and design & specify industrial equipment for material-handling end-users.

 Provided on-going technical consultancy to a small South Florida manufacturing company with global customers that in 1 year realized labor and manufacturing cost savings in excess of $2 million.

 Advised on Customer Relationship Management for customers in the Far East, Latin America, and the Caribbean, which achieved reductions of approximately $750,000 in marketing cost.

 Entrusted by senior management with developing technical recommendations, for a major overseas port that achieved maintenance cost savings in excess of $1 million per year for end-user, $1.5 million in energy savings, and with implementation of a spare parts inventory management system saved approximately $600,000 annually.

(Preventive and predictive maintenance and engineering responsibilities for the container cargo cranes at the Port of Miami)

Crane Project Engineer – Responsible for project management of cargo equipment upgrades, assist CEO and COO with daily maintenance and operation issues, troubleshoot electrical equipment on an emergency basis, as well as acting as technical liaison between the Port, vendors and contractors.

 Utilized cost-cutting measures to provide savings of $1.5+ million per year on electric utility services by using technical solutions to power delivery issues on existing cargo equipment. Assisted the Operations Director with cost-cutting measures to reduce maintenance costs by $300,000 annually.

 Modified technical specifications to new cargo equipment, thereby achieving annual maintenance cost savings in excess of $500,000. Reduced inventory by $1 million and delivered maintenance personnel training that resulted in savings of $1.5 million to $2 million on downtime and scheduled maintenance.

 Provided hands-on troubleshooting skills to power delivery equipment problems that resulted in a savings of $250,000. The emergency troubleshooting that was performed on cargo equipment during operational hours resulted in savings of $1.5 to $2 million.

Lead Field Engineer (2000-2003) & Field Engineer (1991-1999) – Primary duties focused on AC/DC drive systems and power delivery engineering, globally. Additionally, Lead Field Engineer for Southeast Region on drive systems and power delivery equipment. Primary duties included commissioning, troubleshooting and PLC programming.

 Charged with creating cost effective technical solutions/training to a top pharmaceutical company in the Caribbean on their batch-producing equipment. Subsequently, savings will reach up to $2 million to $3 million+ on a yearly basis.

 Trained maintenance and engineering personnel for a global, oil-producing company in South America on their programmable logic controllers that resulted in the reduction of maintenance costs by $1.5 million, and training costs by $250,000 annually. As a result, customer saved approximately $3 million yearly by incorporating troubleshooting techniques.

 Developed technical services along 5 Chinese ports (Tianjin, Qingdao, Xiamen, Yantian, and Kaoshiung) in a year span that resulted in maintenance costs savings in excess of $2.5 million on a yearly basis. Projects ranged from $10 million to $40 million+ for equipment, services, and spare parts. Additionally, served as Lead Field Engineer on a $60 million project in Singapore for 2½ years.
