Structural Support Project Coordinator (2007-2008)

Responsible for proposals and pricing for all drilling structures to be built United States, Dubai, and China.

• Improved after market sales and support. Worked directly with Customers, Engineering, the Service Department and Manufacturing to provide replacement parts or additional assemblies to existing structures. Produced more than $1 million in additional revenue.

• Created/Specified new proposals. With feedback from the sales and engineering teams, wrote and priced new-build structures to be design and built in the US and at various locations abroad. Overall new structure sales in 2007 exceeded $70 million.

• Delivered refurbished equipment for the Helmerich and Payne Rig 203. Worked with several manufacturing plants to schedule work within a very restricted time window. Communicated on a continuing basis with in-house engineering to keep them informed of developing side issues from the customer. The project ($600K) was completed on time and on budget despite the severe project time constraints.

Project Manager (2006)

Main point of contact for the Shell Mars platform for drilling equipment. Served as Assistant Project manager for several projects in China, Singapore, and Russia.

• Delivered replacement equipment for Shell Mars / Helmerich and Payne Rig 201. Worked across multiple facilities, domestic and foreign, to get the project back on track after it fell behind due to health issues of the original project manager. Successfully delivered the equipment within the customer’s time frame and within budget.

• Commissioned the first Chinese-built offshore derrick in North America. Coordinated the efforts of the manufacturer in China and our Service Department. Addressed and resolved all nonconformity issues. Resolved all problems to the satisfaction of both parties and installed the derrick on time and within budget.

On-Site Solutions Director (Pride International) (2005-2006)

Consulted with the Pride International representatives at their drilling site in Mexico.

• Improved Customer Support. Interviewed customers and identified our areas of strength and weakness among the key contacts. Realigned the employees efforts and brought a clearer perspective to existing service disconnects. Improved business at previously low activity centers.

• Increased market basket of good to customer. Expanded account penetration and developed new sales items. Set up vendor contracts and best pricing strategies for these goods. Used existing export/customs arrangements to consolidate savings. The new sales provided sales expansion for our company and better pricing for the customer.

On-Site Solutions Director (Maersk) (2004-2005)

Worked on-site in Denmark and provided consulting and technical support services at the corporate headquarters and at the rig site.

• Resolved major warranty claims. Visited the rig to inspect the problem first-hand and discuss the issues with the operating personnel. Coordinated the efforts of the local service offices and the international service facilities to create a singular approach. Negotiated the response with the customer groups to the eventual satisfaction of all parties. The effective response maintained customer confidence and helped retain a major account.

New Product Service Coordinator (2003-2004)

Oversaw the installation, commissioning, startup, and operations support for newly designed and installed equipment.

• Helped establish a new product in the market. Provided feedback to the sales and engineering departments and senior management during field testing and trials. Coordinated installation and customer service support. The feedback provided led to several design improvements and resultant cost savings.

• Supported a trial run with for a major customer. Provided installation, repair, parts, labor and overall supervision for two models, during field testing. Worked with field reps and the customer to provide training regarding the operation and maintenance of the tool. The successful trial led to the sale of 83 units valued at more than $12.5 million.
