Responsibilities

Assuring contractor's work conforms to the project plans and specifications. This is accomplished by inspecting the contractors work on a daily basis; by keeping a daily record of instructions given to the contractor regarding plan and specification interpretation and any required change orders.

Supervise Quality Assurance testing and inspect grading, granular base, sub-base, asphalt-base, asphalt finish course, and all other construction activities required as per the MTO Construction - Administration and Inspection Task Manual.

Checked the materials ensured that materials are acquired from approved source/quarry used during road construction and oversee the contractor's work to make sure each road meets its established specifications.

Ensure that contractor's work is completed according to plans, standards and specifications prior to approving work and progress payments. - Address the requirements of the MTO's Construction Administration and Inspection Task Manual.

Identify and document construction and/or QC deficiencies (from applicable contract/standard specifications).

Preparation of daily and weekly reports, foundation inspection reports, and rebars inspection reports.

Supervised and controlled quality at site relating to construction of sewer line including excavation, grading, bedding, lying of sewer and backfilling.
