8/2002 – 7/2003 Staff Research Associate University of California Irvine, College of Medicine/Epidemiology. Cancer Genetics Network-Ovarian Cancer Screening Study. The ROCA Study Finding Ovarian Cancer Early in High-Risk Women. Sponsored by the National Cancer Institute.

• Conducted patient interviews involving detailed cancer, medical, reproductive, and personal history. Documented and tracked specific database variables, obtained pertinent medical record information, maintained records and entered data, coordinated collection of blood and other biospecimens for study participants, prepared mailings and other resources for participants.

• Coordinated follow-up blood samples for the CA 125 values every three months and retrieved information from study participants regarding changes in health or family’s health. Scheduled transvaginal ultrasounds in the event of an elevated CA125 value.

• Conducted quality control on database variables with the lead center Massachusetts General Hospital-Harvard. Staffed monthly patient follow-up information with the Project manager and the Co-investigator.
