Project Title : Critical Data Mart

Client : OTP Bank, Hungary

Description:

OTP Bank is the biggest commercial bank in Hungary, operating in Central and Eastern Europe. The bank provides universal financial services for more than 13 million costumers, through nearly 1500 branches in 9 countries.The project aims to build a data warehouse solution for business people at their business, by integrating the business data from various source systems. The solution will use a Dimensional Model to providing a multidimensional view and allow analytical and ad-hoc reporting. The data from various sources systems is loaded into the Critical Data Mart where the data is stored in the form of a Dimensional Model. The source of the source data would be daily feeds from the Source Systems.

Responsibilities:

Studied the schema used and the structures of source and target tables. (Facts and dimensions).

Based on the design document that were created, developed mappings, mapplets, tasks, sessions to populate the target data warehouse.

Created mappings to extract data from OLTP to staging.

Created mappings to extract data from flat files to staging.

Built logics to cleanse data during stage load.

Created mappings to load data from staging area to dimensions and facts.

Involved in data verification and validation.

Created reusable mappings with mapping parameters.

Created the mapplets to reuse the transformation logic.

The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America is a Fortune 300 company founded in New York. It is the fourth largest mutual life insurance company in the United States. The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America and its subsidiaries sell life, long term care insurance, disability income, group medical and dental insurance products, and offer 401(k), annuities and other financial products. The project aims to build a data warehouse solution for Insurance types, policies, vendors and providers, by integrating the business data from various source systems.

Responsibilities:

Interpret transformation rules for all target data objects and developed mappings to support the transformation.

Translated Business processes into Informatica mappings using ETL mapping specifications.

Involved in Code review and Unit testing.

Debugging the data whether it is loaded correctly in target.

Involved in testing of mappings, maplets and sessions.

South Trust is a banking company which offers various banking services like savings accounts, personal loans, checking accounts, mortgage loans, credit cards and safe deposit boxes. It has branches allover India. As a part of Banking Services they provide Saving Account, Checking Account, Mortage Loan and other loans. The main reason for the Client to go for Data Warehousing is improve his business by providing various facilities to his customers. By using necessary transformations extracting the data from the respective databases, transformed and loaded in to the target database by using Informatica.

Responsibilities:

Involved in understanding user requirements, design ,development and documentation for ETL mappings.

Designed and developed mapping from varied Transformations like Source qualifier, Aggregator, Expression, Rank, Router, Filter, Update Strategy and Joiner.

Importing Source and Target tables from their respective databases.

Developed Informatica Mappings, Mapplets and Transformations for migration of data from existing systems to the new system using Informatica Designer.

Optimizing performance tuning at mapping and Transformation level.
