Hired for new business development of marketing, merchandising and assembly services, and immediately opened over 15 new accounts. Company shut down after losing a personal injury lawsuit in California.

National Accounts Manager July 2007 – December 2008

Hired to become the VP of Sales, I opened new accounts including Best Buy, Target, Amazon, and Franklin Covey. I developed and led the effort to produce a line of ICON computer cases marketed to women as an exclusive with Target. Penetrated Best Buy with the Eddie Bauer brand, and led the program development for Blackberry and iPhone cases, exclusively for Best Buy. In December 2008, there was a reduction in force after Circuit City and CompUSA closed in 2008.

Garden State Growers

Vice President, Sales and Marketing June 2006 – March 2007

Responsible for sales, marketing and product development for the largest nursery in New Jersey supplying live plants to Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowes, K-Mart, Stop n Shop, Pathmark, and commercial nurseries.

I led the sales and product development teams to expand market share and increase sales with new product and packaging for the Hispanic market, and developed bundled product combinations to increase price points at Garden State Growers. Business grew 37% over the previous year. This family-owned business merged with another family member’s business, and my position was eliminated.

Wenger Swiss Army Licensee

Vice President, Global Sales October 2004 – May 2005

Led global sales and marketing, and redirected strategy for family-owned marketer of personal business and technology accessories with the “Wenger®, Maker of the Genuine Swiss Army Knife” brand, achieving a business increase of 57% over prior year. I developed new channels and accounts in consumer electronics, computer, wholesale, and internet, and international accounts. Licensor Wenger was sold to Victorinox, and many non-family member positions were eliminated.

Samsung Corporation

Vice President, Sales and Marketing May 2002 – October 2004

I managed sales and marketing functions for Samsung’s ZiREX division. Joined during turnaround and re-launch, and established ZiREX as a sustainable new business. Recruited to Wenger.

Kensington Technology Group

Held various sales leadership positions during 15-year tenure at Fortune Brands’ ACCO and Kensington. Kensington grew from annual sales of $9 million in 1986 to $175 million in 2000. Company was put up for sale, and massive layoffs ensued.
