Aug’08- Dec’10 Master Thesis at USC Columbia, SC
“Development of CuCl-HCl electrolyzer for Production of Hydrogen using Copper Chloride thermochemical cycle”
• Worked on the process set-up for efficient production of hydrogen studying different operating and design parameters in the electrolyzer (modified fuel cell)
• Characterized different catalyst materials for the anode using CV and RDE
• Fabricated MEA’s and analyzed their performance using SEM and TEM techniques
• Developed a mathematical model to predict the electrolyzer performance

“Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling of fuel cell”
• Developed a CFD model for the fuel cell flow channel using Fluent®
• Obtained a better understanding of the fuel cell flow and the heat related issues using experiments and models

“Thermal Management of electronics using phase change materials”
• Established an effective thermal storage unit to sustain cyclic heat loads for small electronic devices like mobile phone, transistors and walkie-talkies
