MAJOR PROJECTS

I. Smart DL – Designed and developed smart card for secured drivers’ licenses Microcontroller chip ATMEGA 32 was used as a smart card chip STK500 kit was used to download program into the chip Labview was used to interface the chip data (read/write) to a PC using RS232 Additionally, LCD was used to display the information in the chip.

II. Speed Multiplier - Designed 8-Bit array multiplier in Cadence (AMI 0.6um technology) MUX based fast adders (12 transistor) were used achieving 55% decrease in area Worst case speed of 50MHz was achieved Performed full chip and block level routing, padding and simulating.

III. SOI - Design and simulating SOI (Silicon on Insulator) device using SILVACO Simulations demonstrating Kink effect, back gate effect, sub-threshold slope, and self heating were conducted.

IV. Faulty mp3 - Implemented mp3 on FPGA (Altera DE 270) and study the effect of fault injection Faults were injected into both the Huffman unit and MAC units of the mp3 system.

V. We Vote - Designed voting machine in FPGA/Verilog using Xilinx Spartan 3E board

VI. LNA - Design and simulation of CMOS Low Noise Amplifier in Cadence at 2.4GHz
