PROVEN ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Managed the JMS system by identifying weak areas and formulating ways to correct these deficiencies. Impact: Resolved customer concerns by giving error free code that achieved the goals they desired by creating a flow that was easier for the customer to follow.

Resolved the return of incorrect data to an officer thus allowing for the identification and possible capture of know criminals. Coding errors caused erroneous or no data causing the responding officer to take action that was different than standard procedures if correct information were known. Impact: This helps keep the streets safe.

Directed the storage and access of large volumes of data by conversion of data into SQL Server/Oracle. Created stored procedures that ran on the server which resolved the issue of passing large amounts of data across the network. Impact: A quicker response time to user requests.

Formulated what type of events may occur for different water levels on the Mississippi river for the Army Corps of Engineers. Cost of flooding each year could cost over $1M. Identifying these events allowed farmers to be notified in areas of risk so they could take action. Impact: Allowed the Corp to enter water level data from various places in the river to identify possible problem areas.

Identified major events and projects of the Army Corps of Engineers and formulated a way to preserve these events in picture format on the web. Created an application that allowed users to submit photos of events, had an administrator verify them and then submitted them for publication on the web. Impact: Created employee involvement in the preservation of the Corp's history.

Resolved issues with the accounts receivable system for Bonnie Plant Farm. Created a tracking system for the sale/return of plants left/collected at locations across the county. Impact: Achieved the reduction of $10K in plant returns the first year by monitoring plant trends at the various locations.

Identified out dated rules in the WIC program for the state of Wyoming. Created an OOP system with the current requirements. Formulated ways to allow these requirements to be changed in the system as new requirements are created. Impact: Resolved the issues that prevented the users from retrieving the needed information to determine a client's qualifications.
