Duties: Maintains reviews, determines, processes, and closes payroll accounts for active duty and reserve armed forces personnel. Codes military personnel documents using military pay programs such as Defense Military Pay Office System (DMO) and Defense Joint Military Pay System (DJMS). Researches Master Military Pay Account (MMPA)to verify military pay transactions are updated. Upload daily transactions into the Department of Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) central database. Perform various duties, reviewing pay authorization documents, determining entitlements, and processing pay entitlement actions that

serve as a basis for pay and leave computation and affect the disbursement of pay. Conducts audits and reviews rejects making corrective action when necessary, processes reports, and performs research. Provides individual assistance to military members and unit personnel clerks daily. Provides general finance knowledge to the Fort Lewis Community. Answers daily written pay inquiries. Answer telephone pay inquiries. Reviews financial records of service members who submit pay inquiries. Reviews completed pay actions, audit a wide variety of difficult pay actions, and compiles information regarding the causes of incorrect pay entitlements. Files and maintains confidential and sensitive personnel forms being processed. Ensures proper safekeeping, storage, and destruction of office records. Files incoming finance reports. Provides customer service. Performs general office clerical duties in accordance with applicable regulations. Provide technical assistance to military personnel regarding pay issues. Informs soldiers of their pay entitlements. Interpret military finance regulations to personnel.

Processes military pay transactions within the Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation guidelines. Knowledgeable of the Joint Federal Travel Regulation (JFTR) and the Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation (DODFMR). Performs office duties within military regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Operates fax machine and copier. Distributes UCFR, Unit Commander Finance Reports to local Fort Lewis military units. Receives completed and updated UCFR, Unit Commander Finance Report from unit personnel clerks.

Supervises the Resource Teacher staff; conducts performance ability to maintain confidentiality of information in the performance of duties. Evaluations with the Resource Teachers; review timesheets and expense reports for accuracy, and submits final documents to the Administrative Coordinator. Supports Resource Teacher staff in establishing and achieving needed training and provides appropriate opportunities to meet these needs. Recruits and contracts clients who are served by the Resource Teacher pool, is responsible for site visits and monitoring of staff. Supports and monitors the budget for The Meeting Place, a drop in child care facility, located at the Department of Social Services. Responsible for providing services at multiple child care locations and other organizations as needed, at the discretion of the Program Administrator. Will professionally represent the organization on the premises of the child care facility while on duty, will create a learning and nurturing environment for the children in the classroom; use and promote positive guidance techniques, assure the welfare, health, and safety of the children through proper supervision; build good communications with center directors, teachers, parents and children; review lesson plans submitted by Resource Teachers recognize and report child abuse and neglect. Is responsible for maintaining a record keeping system to include manuals, regulatory information, and childcare facility information; informing Child Care Resource & Referral of any address or telephone number changes and/or other pertinent information changes.

Responsible for preparing invoices for billing as well as for logs and reports as assigned by the Program Administrator; assists with the continuing enhancement of the Resource Teacher service, including developing policies and procedures. Will be responsible for amending, and explaining current and future programs and proposals directly related to the Strategic Plan, Project Proposal and Annual Report and preparing other reports as required. Also compiles and inputs data for the Resource Teacher quarterly report. The Resource Teacher Coordinator will attend pre-service and in-service training as required and/or needed; study rules, regulations, and policies of North Carolina and individual facilities; facilitate yearly directors’ contract signing meeting to ensure appropriate continuing use of the Resource Teacher substitute program. Attend committee meetings and participate in community events and PFC sponsored events at the direction of the President. Is responsible for other duties as assigned. Provides input into department/division objectives/long range plans; assures all goals are met in areas of responsibility; provides input into annual work plans, programs, staffing requirements, equipment requirements, and related budgets, as appropriate; acknowledges and abides by all PFC established policies and procedures.
