Work Profile :

To record the product cut length of Dimensional thickness, width, Length, measurements by visual inspection report.

Top & bottom surface to be checked, if any defect is noticed, it will be analyzed, quantified & recorded in the same inspection report.

A sample shall draw out of mechanical testing as per requirement of clients.

Coil is mentioned with acceptance status in visual inspection report, coil that does not meet the requirements criteria is to be diverted or hold for further rectification and the same should be recorded in the visual inspection report.

Verifying and collecting sample of mechanical [tensile, hardness, roughness etc.] testing data from laboratory.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

Inspection of raw materials as per test certificate, client specifications and applicable international standards like ASME, ASTM, API, etc.

Knowledge of P & ID, Isometric drawings.

Performing stage by stage inspection as per QAP and ITP.

Performing visual inspection of weld for pipes, steel structure, pressure vessel, tanks etc. According to international standards: ASME, AWS, and API etc.

Qualifying and reviewing welding procedure qualification record [WPQR]

Preparing, Qualifying Welding procedure specifications [WPS]

Welder Qualification based On ASME Section IX, AWS D 1.1 & Preparation of PQR.

Preparation of ITP and Weld Plan as per client codes requirement’s.

Coordination with testing laboratory and third party inspection agencies and welder/welding operator qualifications etc.

Monitoring welding parameters like amperage, volt, heat input, Interpass temp etc., are compliance with WPS.

Witness and reviewing of Hydro testing and Pneumatic testing.

Reviewing Heat Treatment Charts.

Interpretation of Radiographic Films and Witnessing PT, UT & MT.

Witness of mechanical destructive test on materials like Bend test, Hardness test, tensile test, and chemical analysis of material and weld joint at laboratory.

Preparing QC Reports.

Issue Non Compliance Report, Prepare Punch Points.

Co-Ordination with Client and TPI.
