Responsible for developing and implementing batch GMP processes such as pharmaceuticals, food additives, and other specialty chemicals in plant, evaluating alternative production methods and troubleshooting key process issues for ongoing processes including ibuprofen.
• Developed custom batch commercial process for Phytostanols. Finished product exceeded quality specifications and was delivered ahead of schedule with no safety or environmental incidents.
o Performed laboratory and pilot scale investigations to establish material and energy balance and critical process control parameters.
o Scaled up process to plant scale, developing process flows (PFD), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), operating procedures, and batch records.
