This involves making quick and accurate decisions, working closely with my colleagues to maintain a rapid and efficient pace in the pharmacy. At the same time, coordinating with nurses and doctors at the facilities and hospitals in order to accurately process and ship medications for patients who arrive and depart at all hours of the day and night. 2002 - 2010 CVS Pharmacy Worcester Staff Pharmacist

Staff pharmacist in a high volume CVS typical volume 600-1000 scripts per day. My duties included receiving and interpreting prescription orders, counseling patients, filling/verifying prescriptions and maintaining proper inventory. I held Power of Attorney and was solely responsible for ordering and monitoring perpetual inventory of all narcotics. I acted as preceptor for pharmacy students to ensure educational development as well as professional growth.

2001 - 2002 Lahey Hospital Burlington, MA Pharmacy Supervisor

Organized and realigned pharmacy staff. Main responsibilities included updating pharmacy staff to a more clinically relevant group of health care providers. This involved bringing the pharmacist out of the pharmacy, incorporating them into patient rounds, and transferring my clinical knowledge to the staff so they would be able to deliver a more effective drug therapy for the patients of the hospital. This was the first position held by a pharmacist to act as a liaison with doctors, nurses and other health care professionals to develop a team therapy approach.

1999 - 2001 Omnicare West Boylston, MA Consultant Pharmacist

Responsible for 1000 beds per month in long term care and hospital facilities all across the state. Patient charts, standards of practice, as well as test results were utilized in DUR reviews. Joint Commission regulations, med passes with nurses, conducted seminars on drug therapy and routine inspections of med rooms were all tasks I was responsible for.

1996 - 1999 Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences Boston MA I enrolled in the 5 year Bachelor of Pharmacy program which I completed in three years, graduating Magna Cum Laude. I maintained a full time position at Children's Hospital in Boston as a pharmacy technician, where I was trained in IV preparation, TPNs and chemotherapy. Boston MA 1977 - 1981University of Massachusetts at Amherst, MA Bachelor's Degree Finished all course work to achieve my bachelor's degree in zoology (pre-med) and a minor in nutrition.
