3/2011-11/2011 – General Transport – Inside Sales/Appointment Setter

This is a logistics company.

Responsibilities’: designed all marketing material such as: brochures, magnets, notepads, pens and business cards. I also designed the inside sales department as workstations, computers and phone equipment.

Make 70-80 outbound cold calls each day prospecting for new business. The calls were to shipping employees to ask for business to quote and or making appointments with Purchasing, Operations Managers, Procurement department or C level prospects for appointments for the sales representative.

Achievement: I made 25-35 appointments each month for the sales representative. I received business to quote. I was able to accomplish everything they hired me to do with a great attitude. Most of the appointments were made with C level Professionals.

4/2006-8/2010 – Group Transportation Services – Corporate Sales Coordinator

This is a logistics company. We received awards from Weathervane 100. We are one of the fastest growing companies in Northeastern Ohio.

Responsibilities: Design and implement the Appointment Setting Program. Make 60-80 outbound prospecting cold calls a day to reach decision makers such as: CFO, CEO, Operations Managers, and Purchasing Managers and owners.

Prepare and lead meetings with all sales people, Operations Manager, and the Vice President of the company each quarter. We would discuss all appointments and what the next step should be. We would also discuss, brainstorm, and plan champagnes. What areas we should target, what prospect we should target etc. What is in the pipeline?

Achievement: I started out with myself and two sales people in 2006 by 2008 we added six more people in the department, as we hired I trained them. The department was so successful the company is till hiring Appointment Setters today. The company has also called me back to help them. I did not return due to the fact I was working with General Transport.

2003-2006 – Concept Services – Account Manager/Appointment Setter/Business Development/Business.

This company is a 3rd party sales company. This company builds business for their clients. The clients are the BDR’s accounts.

I had six different accounts. I made 80 cold calls each day to set appointments with decision makers. I held meetings at end of each quarter with their business owners, sales managers and sales team. We would discuss pipelines, appointments and next step. The five accounts I had were all different. While I was with this company I helped sell: Software, Warehouse space, bar coding, medical equipment, and trucks. The medical equipment was x-ray equipment sold to x-ray department managers at hospitals and chiropractors equipment sold to chiropractors.

Achievement: Select rucks are the trucking company that I made appointments for. I started out working with one branch and two sales people and within eight months I grew the account to eight branches and 16 sales representatives. At that time this was the largest account that Concept Services ever had. We hired four new BRD’s to help assist me on this account.

I have 10 years of outside sales and business development in the staffing industry prior to 2000.
