• Norway Technology Center Manager 2008 - Present

Responsibilities: Operations and Technology Development and Research of the 3 technology center located in Oslo, Stavanger and Trondheim developing state of the art Geosciences software products: Petrel, Ocean and Frontsim.

• Direct activities in the areas of software research and development, testing, commercialization, documentation

• Manages over 150 people with direct responsibilities on people development, hiring, staffing, facilities management, finances, legal, intellectual property, innovation.

Responsibilities: Product Development Manager for the Omega Seismic Data Processing System. The Omega System supports a 500M USD data processing business and it is deployed in dozens of internal locations around the word. The system is also sold to 3rd party users. Omega is a state of the art seismic data processing system that supports extremely large seismic projects and uses the latest technologies in data storage and management, CPU clusters, massive disk storage, robotic tape drives, satellite communications, remote processing, sophisticated system monitoring, high performance parallel processing, visualization.

Responsibilities: Manage a high visibility project in the area of 3D Reservoir Modeling, including diverse activities such as human resource management (4 engineers direct reporting and 7 engineers dual reporting), coordination among interdisciplinary groups, build and perform client presentations, industry organization presentations, marketing and product planning coordination, coordinate and specify the transfer of research work into engineering, gathering of requirements, specifications, design using object oriented techniques, development using C++ and commercialization of the product.
