Software Engineer

 Worked as a part of Decision Support System (DSS) team at Intel’s Technology and Manufacturing Business Unit that is the core group involved in Chip manufacturing.

 Developed Software modules for individual components of manufacturing solution and decision making using Oracle and MS SQL Server for a new line of product development in a new factory within Intel.

 Was involved in the design, creation and management of multidimensional structures-OLAP cubes that contain aggregated data sources like relational database systems; allowing for complex analytical queries and ad-hoc queries with a rapid execution time.

 Was involved in the development of custom reporting applications using the server-based report generation software (SQL Server Reporting Services - SSRS). It is administered via a web interface, which was developed using MS Share Point Server (MOSS). These reports were used for factory certification of core products.

 Was involved in query optimization in Oracle 10g and SQL Server 2005 that resulted in better overall productivity and decision-making. Procedures were rewritten or modified as per need basis using query optimization techniques.

 Was involved in the code change/development of an automated equipment tracking system using Visual C++, which collects the status of the factory application/machine and aims at tool performance improvement.

 Was involved in design, development and testing of Data Integrity software applications across major data repositories, using Oracle 10g, ASP.Net and Report Viewer (Visual Studio 2005). The data repositories comprise the core data used for tracking back the process involved in the development of the product. Back tracking has helped contain future anomalies and improve productivity.

 Was the owner of a legacy manufacturing system that had a huge customer base and active development requirement. Development was done using SQL Server 2005 and ASP.Net. It also involved Perl scripting to move files in order to support flawless loading of data and to send mails to respective people based on conditional analysis. The system served as a tool to identify any data integrity issues between different systems that connect to a single source. It facilitated the top management to arrive at decisions including higher production approvals. Was also involved in production support of this bequest system.

 Analyzing data in Oracle/SQL Server and rectifying data using PL/SQL and T-SQL. Several procedures were written using PL/SQL and T-SQL for different projects to populate data based on various logics, to send emails to configured members, to extract, transform and to load data.

 Involved in development of websites using ASP/ASP.Net and Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server 2005 (MOSS). MOSS served as the one stop hosting environment for various reports developed using ASP.Net, SQL Server Reporting Services and MS Sharepoint Designer. Individual reports were hosted using separate web parts as per the report style and data specification. The reports displayed data from Oracle and SQL Server.

 Involved in various projects during capacity planning. Planning was done as a part of the system design and performance forecast. Simulation of similar applications to be hosted on the server was done to attain accurate capacity planning results. Load testing was performed by running several SQL Server jobs and Perl scripts as a part of the simulation.

 Owned a product solely and hence involved in the design, development and testing of the new requirements solely; which also involved comprehensive interaction with end to end customers. The project developed using Oracle 10g, SQL Server 2005 and SSRS encapsulated data from different types of sources, transforming the data, storing the data in a similar structure, data analysis and appropriate reporting.

 Developed SQL Server/MOSS 2005 Data Integrity (DI) application to measure the Data Integrity of beta manufacturing products that were released in the market after a good DI graph.

 Maintained a good cycle time for problem closure and involved several worldwide internal customers. Being a part of a core group, unforeseen issues and almost instant closure was an integral part of the job profile.
