As head of HR, provided leadership for 1,250 employees and 3,700+ realtors (independent contractors / sales people) in a multi-site (70 branches), multi-state (PA, NJ, DE) setting for the 4th largest real estate / homeownership services company.

Established the Company’s first Human Resources department and conceived, developed, and implemented department’s vision, functions, policies, and practices, ensuring compliance with governing regulations while representing the Company’s mission, vision and values. As the first HR Leader, built the department to a staff of 5 HR professionals. HR Start-Up Operations included: creation of the first employee manual and Intranet portal; selected and implemented Human Resources Information System (HRIS / ABRA).

Consulted on human capital focused issues during due diligence of several real estate company acquisitions including the joint venture between Prudential Patt White / Premier Group of the Lehigh Valley, which resulted in the addition of 12 offices, 60 employees and 200 realtors in 2007. Improved benefit offerings through selection of carriers, plan design, annual open enrollment, wellness initiatives and annual vendor / broker negotiations. Introduced regular communication of benefit programs, policies and procedures through design and launch of 24/7 online benefits website and electronic company procedures manual. Served as 401(k) Investment Committee Chair, Plan Administrator and Co-Trustee, HIPAA Officer.

Selected and converted two defined contribution plans to a new, real-time, full service 401(k) plan, doubling plan assets from $13MM to $26MM in a 1 year period and employee contributions from 2% to 5% within 6 months.

Established in-house training workshops not limited to: Orientation; Interviewing & Selection, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Anti-Harassment, Performance Appraisals, Proper Documentation / Corrective Action.
