I have over 35 years of professional experience in the automotive parts market, with ten-year career base established with Buddy Foster Chevrolet and six year at Phillips Buick GMC. As my enclosed resume indicates, I have successfully managed parts and inventories in the automotive parts industry. My experience includes management of parts departments, maintenance of inventory and accounts.
In the year 2000, I received my degree in Parts Management and Fixed Operation from the University of General Motors. I am currently up to date on all General Motors training.

I have served 35 years in the auto parts market. I am extremely strong on customer services: as well as, having a vast knowledge of buying parts from maximum gross profit. I have maintained a small inventory with good movement to help lower obsolescence, and maintained 85% plus of RSG for maxim CFI. I have also worked with George Haas of Atcom Consulting Services. I have experience with Reynolds N Reynolds and ADP programs. I have also taken classes and am qualified with up-to-date GM training from General Motors University in Parts Management and Fixed Operations.
WORK EXPERINCE______________________________________________________
May 2011 – June 2011 Sparkman Chevrolet: Worked as a counterman. Released do to cut back.
August 2010 – May 2011 Buddy Foster Chevrolet: Worked as a counterman. Dealership was sold to
Sparkman Chevrolet in May of 2011.
March 2004 – June 2010 Philips Buick, Pontiac, and GMC: Worked as a counterman until of January
of 2007 and then took over as the Parts Manager. Since my promotion I have
reduced obsolete inventory from 12% to 2% in my first year. When I left it was
under 1%.
1993 – September 2003 Parts Manager, Buddy Foster Chevrolet: from 1993 to 1996 I worked in the
race car shop, and maintained three race cars. In 1996 I went to the parts
department at the dealership. In September of 1998 I was promoted to Manager
in parts department, I maintained inventory and wholesale accounts. While at
Buddy Foster I reduced obsolete inventory from 22% to 8% in my first year,
increased gross profit 25% in the first year with only a 10% increase in sales. I
also maintained 92% RSG, and managed a second store in Dade City. That
store was previously known as Dade City Chevrolet which was at that time
owned by Buddy Foster.
1987 – 1993 Counterman, Central Automotive and Machine: While here I practiced and
maintained 100% customer satisfaction and professionalism.
1982 – 1987 Counterman. Baas Auto Supply: Ran front parts counter was in charge of
wholesales accounts.
1975 – 1982 Parts Manager, Dixie Highway Auto Parts: Worked front counter until
promoted to Manager at a branch store in Boca Raton, Florida. While there, I
controlled inventory, wholesales accounts and maintained a 20% gross profit
after expenses.
