Work Experience

My duties as a server were to ensure our guests had the best experience

possible at Coal Vines by greeting the table promptly, being polite and

courteous to the guest no matter the situation, and solving any problems

that may come from their time in our restaurant. Along with serving I also

helped to train new hires. This entailed five days of teaching the proper

techniques to greet a table, present wine to the tables, and helping the

guests with entrée choices if requested.

03/2011 -05/2011 Reds Patio Grill, Plano, Texas

As a server at Reds my responsibilities were to ensure the best dining

experience possible for the guests, help pick the best suited margarita for

the guest, as well as inform the guests of the weekly specials and assist

with help choosing an entrée if requested.

12/2009 -03/2011 Chilis, Frisco, Texas

As a server at Chilis my responsibilities were to not only ensure the best

service for the guest but to help my section partner with their tables as

well. Along with serving I also worked in the To-Go area of the restaurant

taking orders, putting them together, and delivering them to the cars

when the customer would arrive. The To-Go area also entailed making

sure your cash drawer was at 200 dollars when you started the evening

and balancing the drawer out at the end of your shift.

Along with graduating a year early I also participated in the schools

DECA program as well as took college credit classes while attending

regular classes. I received a scholarship for finishing school one year

early.

I attended Collin College for two semesters working towards my

Associates in Applied Sciences.

2011 Court Reporting Institute of Dallas, Dallas, Texas

I started my education at the Court Reporting Institute of Dallas in

September of 2011 and still continue my education through their online

program working towards my Associated of Applied Science as well as

becoming a Certified Shorthand Reporter.
