Responsible for training, assisting, advising, and mentoring the Afghan Air Force (AAF) Radio Technicians on Datron Communication equipment maintenance procedures which evolve teaching, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing. Train the AAF on Datron system diagnostic testing, fault isolation to defective system components; makes repairs in a shop environment and also at various Corps locations. AAF Radio Technicians are taught to perform inspection of system components, preventive maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of modules and circuit cards to the component level. Assist in writing Programs of Instructions (POI) for Level 1 Operation, Level 2 Basic Maintenance, and Level 3 Advance Maintenance Radio Courses for the AAF to train on for maintain and repairing the Datron radio systems and accessories.
