Evaluated the effectiveness of the Material, Maintenance, and Management Assist (3MA) program while providing diesel engine maintenance and repair subject matter expertise. Designed, prepared, and delivered coursework and lesson plans regarding the repair and maintenance of heavy construction equipment, light service vehicles, and highly technological and specialized military combat equipment as an Active Duty Advisor (ADA) to the reserve battalion.

Trained over 125 personnel in diesel repair and preventive maintenance as one of only 8,000 naval diesel maintenance experts worldwide.

Successfully developed and delivered six key training courses, including Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) wrecker and 10K Rough Terrain Forklift repair and maintenance programs, providing up to seven day in-class and hands-on field components.

Equipment Mechanic continued

Attained 97% parts availability in support of 407 pieces of heavy and light construction equipment while training and qualifying 7 crane inspectors. Additionally, disposed of 5,000 gallons of hazardous waste without any discrepancies or incidents.

Repaired up to 30 pieces of construction equipment monthly over a 12 month period while reviewing and mentoring staff in proper repair, maintenance, and extraction procedures during military exercises.

Work Center Supervisor Gulfport, MS 2005 – 2008

(20th Seabee Readiness Group, 20th SRG)

Supervised 30 personnel and oversaw both a light vehicle repair and maintenance shop supporting Humvees, trucks, Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) wreckers, and other vehicles as well as a heavy construction equipment shop focused on larger apparatus, including bulldozers, cranes, and dump trucks. Coordinated, scheduled, and balanced daily workload to assure equipment availability while achieving an Advanced Diesel Mechanic designation, developing course materials, and training junior mechanics.

Provided over $1,500,000 worth of maintenance and repair services on a $400,000 budget while conducting 1,500 preventive maintenance checks and 500 repairs in support of 378 pieces of construction equipment worth over $18,000,000.

Volunteered over 100 off-duty hours to prepare course materials to train and qualify 30 mechanics as highly technological Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) repair and maintenance specialists.

Successfully completed 100 field repairs under adverse conditions without any discrepancies in addition to 260 repairs, 940 preventive maintenance checks, and activated over 800 pieces of equipment in support of Hurricane Katrina disaster recovery efforts.

Crane Mechanic Corpus Christy, TX 2004 – 2005

Functioned as a crane examiner, inspector, mechanic, and rigger as well as performance examiner and instructor. Assumed the positions of Lead Floor Mechanic and Load Test Director overseeing maintenance, inspection, and dispatch of heavy construction equipment while acquiring subject matter expertise in material and weight handling equipment. Built team morale in both official and volunteer roles.

Successfully maintained, inspected, and repaired 55 pieces of construction equipment in addition to performing over 130 incident-free crane lifts.

Maintained an exceptional level of readiness during Operation Iraqi Freedom through extensive construction equipment knowledge, adaptability, and expertise.
