I am a Petroleum Engineer with over 9 years of diverse experience in oil/gas field operations and teaching. The field operations experience includes well testing & DSTs operations, running well completions, problematic well diagnostics and interventions, artificial lift installation, troubleshooting of downhole jet pumps and work-over, production facilities, and coordinating & scheduling with service contractors and vendors. Teaching experience includes delivering production technology courses and conduct laboratory sessions on drilling fluids to undergraduate petroleum engineering students.

Production Engineer

My major responsibilities include following:

Plan and supervise Drill stem testing (DST) at exploratory & appraisal wells as per company’s HSE standards.

Select candidate wells for work-over. Prepare cost effective work-over and well completion programs.

Supervise well completion operations including single/dual, hydraulic set packer, permanent wire line and tubing set packers and artificial lift completions.

Supervise work-over operations ranging from tubing change over, fishing jobs, zonal isolation, remedial/squeeze cementing.

Perform completion Integrity test (CIT), analyze well barriers, and address well integrity issues.

Carry out well testing like flow after flow, Modified Isochronal and build-up tests on oil & gas wells as recommended by Reservoir Engineering department.

Plan and supervise slick line jobs like BHP survey, retrieving and setting of downhole plugs, retrieving of Hydraulic Jet pumps, tubing de-scaling and fishing jobs.

Plan and supervise well interventions such as PSP survey, set through tubing plugs, enerjet perforation, CHFR Logging and Nitrogen Kick off with wireline, CTU and swab rig.

Carry out day-to day monitoring of producing and injection/disposal wells in a set of designated fields and identify the surveillance techniques.

Plan and supervise matrix stimulation jobs on producing & water injection / disposal wells.

Optimize artificial lift wells (jet pumps) through optimum use of existing equipment, performance monitoring and analysis.

Prepare AFE sheets, maintain well records, and prepare end of well reports.

Hand on experience of wellheads & X-Mass Tree installation, BPV installation/retrieving with/without lubricator.

Work closely with project team from initialization until completion of the field projects, co-ordinate with maintenance, operations, and service companies i.e. Schlumberger, Krakow, and Cameron regarding execution of planned Well jobs.

Mentoring summer interns in the field and help undergraduate petroleum engineering students in their research projects.

Established the drilling fluids laboratory in the Institute of Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering. Designed and conducted lab tests of water base mud including rheology, filtrate loss and formation of mud cake using high-pressure pilot project.
