Sr. Designer - Producing general arrangements from customer specifications of skid mounted HPU’s and producing detail drawings of these units for fabrication along with other related drilling equipment. Creating various structural plans and details for pumping equipment on onshore and offshore platforms. Checking detail work of jr. drafters.

VENTECH ENGINEERING INC. - (Contract) - Pasadena, TX 5/2007 – 9/2010

Sr. Designer/Checker - Producing and checking Civil /Structural marketed designs from process data sheets and calculations provided by engineers in oil and gas production and Petro-Chem operations (upstream & downstream). Job required design reviews, working with multiple types of concrete and steel structures including foundations, piping, supports, piers, structural reinforcements and large skid mounted structures. Extensive liaison between engineering & fab. shop on as built and field checking skids for weld-out.

ASHBROOK SIMON-HARTLEY – Houston, TX 9/1987 – 4/2007

Sr. Mechanical/Structural/Piping Designer/Checker - Design of foundation, fabrication details and bill of materials from contractor plans and specifications for complete turnkey assemblies of entire wastewater treatment plants, from lift station influent pumping/screening, secondary treatment to clarification. Provide liaison between manufacturing, field service, parts and retrofit sales and design engineering to facilitate problem solving and cost saving ideas of customer’s equipment. Mechanical/Structural Designer - Design and drafting of deep-sea diving systems, aero space flight training facilities, oxygen therapy chambers, vessels and military training equipment. Job duties also included scheduling, checking, and drawing documentation/reproduction.

FARR OIL TOOL, INC. - (Contract) – Houston, TX 9/1980 – 4/1982

Mechanical Designer - Major design, drafting, drawing documentation/reproduction and tool/jig design for hydraulic power tongs and power units for drilling rig floor handling equipment, sub-sea and land accumulators, hose reels, and BOP's. Responsible for layouts and illustrations of proposal packages per customers request. Also involved with shop assembly/testing and field operational testing of this equipment.
