Objective:

I am searching for a full time position which will utilize my injection molding knowledge and training to improve the operations and profitability of the company. Also, I am very eager to learn new trades and processes to promote future growth and advancement for myself and the company.

Qualifications:

I have 20 years of experience in injection molding with machines ranging from 12 ton to 3,000 ton to include Auburg, Cincinnati Milicron, Engel, Jon Wai, Kawaguchi, Natco, Newberry, Nissei, Toshiba, Mitsubishi, Ube, and Van Dorn. I have experience with a wide range of materials to include ABS, Acetal, HDPE, Nylon, PC/ABS, Polypropylene, Santoprene, and TPO. I am a self starter and resolve any issues that may come up thoroughly while minimizing impact on production. I am familiar with valve gate systems, de-coupled molding, and 3 and 6 axis robots.

Experience:

Process Technician Flex-N-Gate Danville, Illinois July 2011-October 2011

Responsible for press up-time, processing and troubleshooting required for presses ranging from 500 tons to 2750 tons

Process Coordinator Flex-N-Gate McCalla, Alabama June 2007- July 2011

Responsible for tool setup, processing, troubleshooting, uptime and efficiency for machines ranging from 300 to 3,000 tons. Estimate cycle time and process feasibility for quotation development when requested. Provide process feasibility at early design level for gating, material, selection, potential processing quality defects, machine and equipment limitations, product design restrictions and tooling concerns. Responsible for attending all tryouts. Work with material representatives as required. Establish processing molding window and determine optimum setting meeting production objectives. Responsible for the training of processors on the Jon Wai IMM’s. Assist in trouble shooting problem programs for efficiency and or reject reduction as required.

Jr. Process Engineer Plastech Corp McCalla, Alabama September 2004- June 2007

Responsible for press uptime and efficiency in a 300,000 sq ft manufacturing plant with 49 molding machines ranging from 85 to 2,200 tons, to include the following:

Develop processes for new molds and mold sets in new presses, insure parts meet quality expectations, insure the setup and startup of hot tools, cycle time improvements and scrap reduction, new tool samples, process documentation, coordination with the tooling department for any repairs or modifications required, training for technicians, mold setters, and color changers to improve mold and color change times, and overall efficiency.

Completed the tool setup, processing, and any troubleshooting required for machines ranging from 125 ton to 500 ton.
