Customer Documentation is technical information produced during the product process and delivered to customers by the Customer Documentation function. In high-level categorization for NSN customer documentation this mainly refers to so called Operating Documentation, which is delivered to customers as a document library.

Operating Documentation contains the information customer needs for using network element or a system composed of several network elements. Detailed descriptions provide information on the software and hardware of a system and/or network element, including all available features and functions. Operator process oriented documents cover all the tasks relevant to handle the network element or system (for example installation, commissioning, integration, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting). Detailed technical reference information about the network element or system completes the Operating Documentation.

Release phase documentation contains release introductory documents of a new product release, provides information on the changes that have been made with respect to earlier releases, and gives instructions for the upgrade procedure.

Design documentation is internal documentation produced by SW/HW R&D projects/teams, e.g. specifications, sub-system/HW/SW component descriptions. Design documentation is typically input/source material for creating customer documents by the Customer Documentation function.

Learjet Business Aircraft: Project involves the complete process in modifying of Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Non-destructive Testing Manual, Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) based on the development documents/specifications, engineering drawings such as MODSUM (Modification Summary) SQUAWK, User Comments, Service Bulletin, MCR (Manual Change Request) etc. All the manuals are created according to ATA 100/ iSpec 2200 and written complying with AECMA Simplified English. All the Illustrations in the manuals are created conforming to the Illustration standards.

Challenger 600 Business Aircraft: Project involves the complete process in modifying of Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Aircraft Illustrated Parts Catalogue based on MODSUMs and User Comments with ATA 100/iSpec 2200 standards.
