Blaster/Painter, 1994 to present
Started out at Acadian with minimal experience in painting as a painters helper. Learned the basics of mixing paint and cleaning paint pots, found a great interest in the technical side of painting, and after 5 months moved up to painting and sand blasting. After blasting and painting for one year my general interest grew into a quest to be the best on our small crew. Four years went by of being the guy who could spray just about any coating available to almost any specification (the go to guy) on our crew. Shortly after the opportunity came to take those skills on road jobs and eventually offshore, both great experiences for my later management position. I am still on my quest to learn and gain as much knowledge and technical knowhow in this great industry. Therefore I am now studying and practicing to become Nace certified to gain another accomplishment for my career.
