Legislative Aide 12/07 – 01/10

• Maintain senators’ daily schedules for meetings, hearings, appointments, and events in their districts.

• Organize senators’ committee binders with tracked legislation, updated fiscal notes, amendments and proposed changes for each committee they are a member of.

• Staff Transportation and Interstate Cooperation, Election Law and Veterans Affairs and, Health and Human Services, set hearing dates, reserve hearing rooms, record detailed notes to create hearing reports and update the binder of each committee member. Track the presentation of amendments and keep hearings running smoothly and efficiently.

• Respond to constituent inquiries and issues within the senators’ districts, as well as handling inquiries from outside the districts as well as directing constituent inquiries that needed to be dealt with by their Congressional delegates.

• Ensure the senators have every resource they need to effectively perform their duties.

New Hampshire State Senate 9/06-12/07

Aide to the Senate Clerk’s Office

• Organized Senate sessions in accordance with the rules of the senate. Provided each senator with a detailed packet of all the legislation to be introduced, debated and voted on.

• Managed the work flow of support staff and report any issues/concerns to the Clerk.

• Organized the orientation program for newly elected and returning members of the New Hampshire Senate. This program includes a two day on site “how to” orientation reviewing the legislative process in a step by step manner.

• Ran the Senate Page program, by recruiting students from senators’ local high schools who have an interest in politics to sit in the senate chamber and assist with handing out amendments during session days.

State of New Hampshire, Bureau of Securities 5/06-9/06

Jr. Financial Examiner

• Reviewed Financial Statements from every company in the State that issued stock, and marked the ones that were in question for examination.

• Assisted the Senior Examiner on audits of the companies that were either over-due for an exam or those that were in question from their financial statements.

• Interviewed the branch managers of many financial institutions to ensure they were following good business ethics, and that they were striving to achieve the investment objectives of their clients.

• Wrote reports that were filed for company records based on the findings from the interview. The companies then implemented different procedures based on these reports so they would be in compliance with the Securities Exchange Commission.

VOLUNTEER WORK

Futures Tour Committee. Charged with marketing event, recruiting a title sponsor, development awareness of The Walk a Healthy 18 promotional campaign. Have been caddying for a professional golfer for the past two summers.
