• Key responsibilities includes evaluating and investing in different types of asset classes (equities, fixed income, private equities),constructing financial models, and building a long-term viable asset management distribution platform that includes launching and managing funds.

• Primary responsibility includes a shared responsibility of generating revenue for the asset management department; managing the proprietary portfolio with team members that includes risk controlling measures and managing clients’ portfolios with total AUM of around QR 1 billion. (mainly invested in the GCC region)

• Managed Amwal’s direct investments by seeking new private equity investments and pre-IPOs opportunities.

• Closely involved in sector and competitor analysis, acquisition searches for portfolio companies, targeted company profiling & fundamental analysis. Sectors covered include real estate, power & utilities, banking, construction and basic materials.

MIS & Operational Risk Manager Wealth Management and Distribution

• Key responsibilities included coordinating, driving and directing effective compliance and operational risk management for Wealth Management & Shared Distribution.

• Primary responsibility was to implement controls within Wealth Management & Shared Distribution to meet all regulatory and internal requirements. • Re-launched Priority Banking in Qatar. This included adding new products such as Multi-Asset Portfolio Tracker (MAP by Schroder), tie-ups with leading companies, marketing material, training of staff, setting budget and establishing comprehensive MIS to track progress

• Research, collate and transmit information on competition and SCB products to Head of Wealth Management through management of Business Intelligence Unit (BIU)

• Continuously developed business relationships with various companies that would have a direct impact on achieving SCB goals and help sustain long term growth. These relationships include tie-ups with local giants and multinational financial services companies e.g. Franklin Templeton, Western Union etc

• Launched various internal programs including CASA campaign, Global Sales Contest, Best Branch Managers Award to fuel growth that foster teamwork and development
