Dear Employer,

As a graduate of Virginia Western Community College, I am looking for a position as a dental hygienist. I found your office off the internet and am very eager and excited to become one of your employees. I have heard that you treat everyone with respect and I am looking forward to meeting you. As a life-long resident of Winchester Virginia, working in my community is a major priority.

As a student at Lord Fairfax Dental Hygiene Clinic I treated patients from ages 4-74 performing a large range of dental treatment. Through this educational program I have learned the importance of maintaining a professional attitude. I have learned how important it is to maintain a time line. I have learned the importance of communication and how certain barriers, whether language or educational, can hinder learning. I have gained confidence in myself and the field of dentistry and with this attitude I am ready to head into work and educate my patients.

I have passed my National Board Examination April 2nd 2010 at the Pearson testing center in Vienna and my Clinical Board examination April 17th 2010 at the University of Virginia located in Richmond. I will be very flexible and available to work whatever schedule is needed. I am a very dependable friendly person who is excited to start a new life and career as a Dental Hygienist in your office. Once my licensure has been granted, the chance to work with you and your team would conclude my goal and dream of becoming a dental hygienist. While working in your office I will always demonstrate a positive cheery personality waiting to talk with each person and calm down any fears or anxieties they might be experiencing. I am not only going to be a Dental Hygienist, but someone that people could look to for help if they need it.

I cannot wait to begin our journey together in the field of Oral Health Care.

Sincerely,

Kelly Elyss Johns
