Printing Pressman

Summary of qualifications I am currently running a 6 color 55 inch Planeta Varimat and a 7 color 55 inch KBA Repida 142 at Sheboygan Paper Box. I was a first pressman on a 6 color 64 inch Planeta. This was the highest paying and most technical job in the plant. I also have experience on 6 color 40 inch Heidelberg and 6 color 63 inch Roland as a feeder and #2 pressman and first pressman. And I ran a 76 inch 6 color Miehle

My job was to maintain run speeds and quality. To do minor repairs and assist maintenance, both in house and outside contractors on larger repairs. To make sure we have all the materials for the next job going on press.

As a first pressman I was in charge of two other crew members, Assure their work was done and to assist them if needed. We ran mostly unsupervised. Our supervisor was also the department manager. The plant’s largest customer was General Mills, which included Old Elpasso and Hamburger Helper. We had this account for over 15 year’s.

I was also responsible for setting rollers in ink train and dampeners, also set grippers and head stops, change print length, move charges.

My supervisor valued my opinion enough to ask me to go to France when they planned on purchasing a new press.

I have had 40 hours of Lean Management training, food allergy training, OSHA safety and fork truck training Have experience running a perfector and Epic and Varidampson the Planeta and Rolandmatics on the Roland. Have fork truck and pallet truck experience.
