Environment : Linux.

Tools : Symfony, Apache Tomcat, Firebug.

Symfony is a complete framework designed to optimize the development of web applications by way of several key features. For starters, it separates a web application's business rules, server logic, and presentation views. It contains numerous tools and classes aimed at shortening the development time of a complex web application. Additionally, it automates common tasks so that the developer can focus entirely on the specifics of an application. The end result of these advantages means there is no need to reinvent the wheel every time a new web application is built

Project Title [4]

Client : Ausy, France.

Duration : Mar 2007 – July 2007.

Environment : Windows XP.

Tools : Eclipse, Apache Tomcat, CVS, Firebug.

Language : Java Script, AJAX, HTML, JAVA, Jakarta Struts, JSP.

Description

Model-view-controller (MVC) is an architectural pattern used in software engineering. In complex computer applications that present a large amount of data to the user, one often wishes to separate data (model) and user interface (view) concerns, so that changes to the user interface do not affect the data handling, and that the data can be re-organized without changing the user interface. The model-view-controller solves this problem by decoupling data access and business logic from data presentation and user interaction, by introducing an intermediate component.

In MVC the presentation layer is further separated into view and controller. MVC encompasses more of the architecture of an application than is typical for a design pattern.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design of the User Interface using HTML.

• Development of AJAX and JavaScript functions for the “View”.

• Development of Java and Jakarta Struts for the “Controller”.

• Development of SQL and XML for the “Model”.
