Sylvia Hernandez
Dear Employer,
In response to your advertisement regarding the CAD Technician position in your company I am enclosing a resume for your consideration and review. I am looking to go to work full time for a creative, unique company with opportunity for advancement.
For the past four years I have been a CAD technician in a structural engineering company. I performed the basic skills of operating AutoCAD: 2D detail drawings as well as floor plans. I have also been modeling with Revit Structure for the past 3 years, building 3D models and using them to create plans and details drawings.
Though I have always been intrigued by Architecture, a previous employer sparked my interest in CAD work. I started for TCS as an administrative assistant for their engineering department, I picked up on more than necessary, and eventually began doing basic CAD work and changes for them. In high school I took basic and architectural hand drafting classes. I very much enjoy this type of work and would like to continue on with your company. As an eager and fast learner I believe I would be of great value as an employee.
Your company sounds like a great opportunity to work and further my experience in a creative, fast paced environment. I look forward to the chance to meet face to face for an interview to further convince you that I am fit for the great position.
Your further consideration of my request is greatly appreciated, as I am looking forward to meeting with you, thank you.
Sincerely,
Sylvia Hernandez
