Nashville Film Festival - Nashville, TN – Design & Film Programming Intern (2010 – 2011)

Acting office assistant, graphic designer, social media assistant, and film programmer for a one-year unpaid internship with the festival. Attended public events as a festival representative, designed several web and print-based documents, developed social media practices, screened and scored entrants, facilitated juried discussions regarding film selection, acted as primary filmmaker liason.

Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Art Museum - Nashville, TN - Summer Intern (2010)

Participated in the educational summer camp experience of over 1,000 children during the ‘Chihuly at Cheekwood’ exhibition. Gave guided tours of the Dale Chihuly art exhibit and permanent collections, provided one-on-one classroom art instruction, taught several full classes ranging from basic to advanced skill sets.

Twelve large-scale photographs shown as part of a new artists’ photography exhibition featured in Nashville’s monthly Art Crawl and displayed for 4 months.

Merit-based scholarship awarded for four years of study. Awarded Dean’s List in Spring 2006 and Fall 2007. Artwork shown in Core Program art shows in the spring of 2006 and 2007. B.F.A. work shown in spring of 2009 and 2010.

Personal interview and artwork published in the ‘General Interest’ section of a French learning textbook for Quebec high school students.

Personal interview and selected artwork published in the February 2006 edition of its “Artist of the Month” section.

Nashville Guitar Town Project (2004 - 2006)

Design selected and commissioned by refereed panel as one of fifty community sculptures in this project sponsored by Gibson Guitars. The finished sculpture was unveiled in July 2005, displayed for one year in the Nashville Bellsouth building, and selected for display on the project’s publication booklet.

National Scholastic Art And Writing Awards (2004 - 2005)

The Silver Key for excellence in the Visual Arts, Mixed Media category was awarded in the competition’s national level and the Gold Key in the Tennessee State level (2005). Also awarded the Silver Key for excellence in the Visual Arts in the state level of the previous year.

SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

Proficiency in the use of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, SoundBooth, Bridge, Aperture, and Premier (versions CS3, CS4, and CS5), Final Cut Pro, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Office Suite on both Mac and PC platforms.
