DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conversant with ASTM,ASME, standards

Quality surveillance, Welding inspection, Documentation & Dimensional Check

Perform line checking/prepare and check official test pack prior to release for hydro testing by ensuring that all welding inspection and NDT activities affecting the quality of welds contained in each piping spools of an isometric have been completed and accepted

Conduct fit-up and visual inspection of all piping and welding works from piping pre-fabrication to field installation

Prepare and schedule required NDT request including PWHT if applicable, for visually accepted joints to cope up with the NDT percentage requirements per line class including welders performance percentage

Familiarize with the Approved Quality and Inspection plan

Familiarize with the Approved Drawings, Governing Standards and Specifications

Checking the preheating,inter-pass temperature, weld sequence, welding parameter

Conducting Welders Qualification Tests

Witnessing and monitoring of WPQR,WPQT and mechanical testing of test specimen

Hydro testing and pneumatic Testing of erected piping systems

Supervision of QA/QC activities related to piping

Familiar with various Welding process like GTAW,SMAW,SAW

Preparing – PWHT of piping joints

Plant commissioning activities

Preparation of final documents including fit-up and welding reports NDT reports

Pressure test certificates and as-built Drawings

Controlling welding repairs by taking corrective action

Witnessing Visual,PT,MPI, Pneumatic & Hydro Test

Inspection of all pipe supports, type required to install in the line and check based on the support detail.

Conduct inspection on the re-instate line specifically in all test limits to confirm the proper gasket and installed as per drawing requirement.

Conduct line check inspection as per test package with the complete sets of the latest isometric drawings with corresponding test limits and the P&ID to match the requirements necessary to install in the line such as connection of valves and instruments and generate punch-list of all finding under categorical status.

Conduct inspection particularly in piping check the materials as per isometric drawing requirements, the type of valves installed in the line, the flow erection for the check valve, a globe valve, the hand wheel orientation and all components.

Check the parameter(heat input,traval speed)
