Improved quality management on GE internal and external processes through devising a QA Library and PCR Audit/Review which identified key deficiencies.

Worked in conjunction with other support Engineers amid the GE Aviation Operations Center in the Aircraft Engine Diagnostics and On-Wing Technical Support Group as a “Tier 3 Qualified Technical Support Engineer”

Accomplishments:

Saved 4% engine maintenance costs for the average customer and promoted engine removal through (2) two CNRs for remote diagnostics.

Provided airlines/customers with enhanced on-wing engine gaspath performance monitoring to lower engine maintenance cost and improve engine fleet reliability.

Powerplant/Landing Gear Technical Specialist

Oversaw maintenance, repair, and overhaul of the landing gear on the Airbus A300, Boeing B727, and the McDonnell Douglas DC8-70 aircraft which included; engineering functions, outside vendor engineering departments to devise scope of work and maintenance specifications.

Accomplishments:

Enhanced communication and scope of work specifications for all (3) three fleet of aircraft through conducting audits and reviews of landing gear vendors.

Performed on-wing engine gaspath performance monitoring for the P&W JT8D fleet of engines on the B727 aircraft.

Maintained repair functions on the P&W JT9D-7R4D/E, GE CF6-80A/80A2 engines, and the Honeywell GTCP331-200 series APU on the Boeing B767 aircraft. Supervised the P&W Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) and Spectra Oil Analysis Program (SOAP) as well as repaired or sustained maintenance operations on the P&W JT3D and JT8D series engines on the McDonnell Douglas DC-8 and DC-9 aircraft. Provided troubleshooting and review of test cell and on-wing engine performance data.

Accomplishments:

Recovered 19% engine maintenance cost and aircraft indirect operating costs and assured 99% on-time performance reliability as well as provided many troubleshooting recommendations.

Incorporated Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins into Engineering Orders and the Airline Maintenance Program after conducting reviews for deficiency.

Collaborated efforts with (3) three outside vendor engineering departments to coordinate the scope of work and specifications for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of the engines.
