Everbridge Inc. (formally 3N Global) ï 2008 ñ 2010

Vice President of Technical Operations / Chief Security Officer

Led a 20-person team including DBAs, System Administrators, NOC, network engineering and Helpdesk to support four Collocation facilities (two in the U.S., two in Canada). Served as key executive team member responsible for all operations, IT and decisions related to production and corporate infrastructure. Managed capital expenditure and operations budget and all vendor negotiations.

* Investigated new technology and methods to increase productivity and implement emerging technologies to improve and extend the Oracle RAC based platform (using complex streams infrastructure for replication to run site pairs in an active-active configuration) into new areas.

* Ensured corporate, production network and software security compliance in complex Federal Vertical market. Utilized extensive knowledge of federal documents (FIPS 199, NIST SP 800-53, etc.) for platform based on Oracle RAC and Java and interface to Salesforce using LAMP.

Oversee.net ï 2007 ñ 2008

Vice President of Technology

Directed five managers and a team of 50 in all technology initiatives to support complete product life cycle including Development, QA, IT and Operations. Oversaw the complete budget including infrastructure costs, headcount and facilities. Negotiated with vendors on purchase discounts and cost of ownership. Yahoo! Search Marketing ï 2004 ñ 2006

Director of Systems Engineering

Ponte Communications ï 2000 ñ 2001

Vice President, Engineering

Managed a team of 35 in California and Canada with responsibility for the entire corporate engineering effort, from initial design through development to product delivery. Oversaw budget and headcount. Represented Engineering Department at all Board of Director meetings. Partnered with Product Marketing and CTO to drive the companyís future technology.

* Spearheaded project for a distributed, secure network provisioning engine.

* Server was written in C++ and built on MySQL as the backend data store for containing object representation of network devices and for enforcing policy

* Configuration payload was generated Tcl/tk and Expect wrapped up and sent via SSL to a Hardened NetBSD configuration point for unwrapping and pushing the configuration to the device(s).

* Configuration packages were precisely time keyed for update, allowing for the state timed large updates of an enterprise scale network.

KPMG Consulting ï 2000

Director, Engineering

Managed all staffing, architectural decisions, interaction with third party vendors and discussions with other KPMG groups using either Oracle or Active Directory as a backing store. Led discussions with Novell to support NDS. Maintained close contact with DSL and Cable Business Units to do flow-through provisioning of DSL devices and cable modems including security authentication and extensive device knowledge.

* Directed Test, Performance and Core Competency teams to enforce the productization of KPMGís OSS/BSS ìConfigure to Fitî Solution (order to cash, end-to-end solution for broadband provisioning). Built solution on top of the Tibco messaging bus and used the InConcert workflow engine to control process flow.

* Integrated products by utilizing Tibco bus adapters and multiple COTS software products that enabled tasks from billing to trouble ticketing. This included a web based XML order entry template driven system as a front end and CORBA interface to C/C++ code for low level Tibco adapters.

Cisco Systems ï 1997 ñ 2000

Senior Manager, Software Development/Architect

Directed a staff of 35 including full time employees, contractors, on-site partners (US West and KPMG), and a test group, which included two Cisco staff on-site at Microsoft. Led group in identifying areas needing further drill down and pushed issues into core development teams to further focus the development effort.

* Strategically involved in the Cisco/Microsoft partnership, porting Microsoftís Active Directory (NT 5.0) product to Solaris and HP-UX 11.0, and adding Cisco enhancements that moved client code (LDAP V3, Eventing and Kerberos) into IOS.

* Partnered with DSL and Cable Business Units to do flow-through provisioning of DSL devices and cable modems, including security authentication and extensive device knowledge.

* Assumed Architect role in the application and deployment of Ciscoís Active Directory.

* Maintained in-depth involvement with the Directory Enabled Network (DEN) initiative, which was integral to the success of the project.

* Delivered customer presentations on directory technology, down to low-level architecture topics.

* Championed a performance team to generate benchmarking tools for Directory Technology.

* Analyzing current benchmarks and developing new benchmarks to evaluate the new operating system to determine which sub-sections needed to be addressed for enhancement.

Senior Operating System Consultant - National Technology Center

Served as project lead and architect for a new Solaris interactive core file-debugging tool (Xfm, fm) that included the writing of a new tool to replace adb for core file debugging. Architected and led team effort of three engineers for implementation. Provided highest level of support to most important and visible customers with full responsibility for software development projects from initial definition through planning and execution to acceptance by end user. Other technical areas of responsibility included:

* Solaris tuning of large servers, including Ultra Enterprise Server.
