Work Experience

Aviation Resource Management: As Functional Manager; I used a team concept to develop others. I organized, directed, and evaluated workload for 28 military and civilian personnel. I was responsible for management, security, and accuracy of the Aviation Resource Management System. I managed a $12M database and validated $245K flight incentive pay. I possess expert knowledge and understanding; used to appropriately apply principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to scheduling aircrew training, missions, and flight operations activities. I developed logistics plan, coordinated aircraft, and air space to ensure on-time cargo delivery. I scheduled daily flights for fixed/rotary wing aircraft. I executed 220 sorties, over thirteen hundred flight hours, 292K lbs. cargo and over five thousand passengers safely airlifted to 11 locations. Kept $30M aviation fleet under budget; saved the Air Force over $500K in operating cost. Organizational skills used to overcome 40% manning reduction, streamlined procedures, to meet 100% taskings. My expert administrative knowledge includes assigning, directing, guiding collection, and filing records and documents in both paper and electronic formats. I developed and managed squadron COMSEC accounts. I conducted quarterly COMSEC training to ensure personnel were current on critical operating procedures. I tracked and notified aircrew of required training and compliance deadlines. I produced annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly reports for dissemination to senior leadership. I responded to internal/external customer inquiries regarding administrative issues. Oracle Discoverer 9i expert; I trained personnel to build browser reports, used to verify aircrew currency. I oversaw, coordinated, and evaluated efforts of administrative operations to identify specific requirements to schedule actions needed to meet daily requirements in areas such as task management, information management, security, property accountability, documents and reports preparations, time and attendance, record and files maintenance, travel, procurement of supplies and equipment, and other related administrative activities. I provided assistance in policy guidance, data research, and evaluation services to leadership on a daily basis. I interpreted complex Air Force Instructions and policies and was the point of contact for resolving non-routine operational problems. I analyzed and refined existing work methods and techniques. I reviewed incoming correspondence and taskings. I coordinated and tracked actions, clarified responsibilities and timelines for completion. I consolidated data and reviewed accomplishment objectives, timeliness, and acceptability. I provided advice and assistance to customers on procedural and administrative aspects of staff actions. I organized, planned, and facilitated administrative working groups to develop internal strategies to address administrative issues and concerns.

Personnel Security Manager: As the Personnel Security Manager I was responsible for the organization, administration, management and implementation of the Personnel Security program, which included 78 military and civilians. I formulated, implemented security policies and procedures, systems, and programs involving the loyalty and reliability of people for the personnel security program. I monitored compliance with the installation and activity security measures. I used written and oral communication to negotiate to find mutually acceptable solutions by effectively communicating with unit personnel to facilitate activity compliance. I verified security clearances and special access authorization of assigned personnel and visitors. I administered, organized and managed the personnel security program to ensure evaluation of individual eligibility to occupied sensitive positions and obtained security clearances on personnel. I monitored the effectiveness of physical security systems and security support equipment. I managed all policies and procedures effectively; I persuaded others to accept recommendations, cooperate, or change their behavior as the squadron expert on all personnel security matters. I reviewed evaluated reports or investigations, personnel files and other records to determine status of security clearances consistent with national security and/or suitability issues. I provide authoritative information and assistance to organization officials and lower echelon commands. I posses knowledge of security concepts, principles, practices and procedures, to independently review, analyze and resolve difficult, complex conflicting conditions and mission priorities surrounding security threats and vulnerabilities. I also have knowledge of laws, regulations, Executive Orders, DoD directives and other rules and regulations governing personnel security. I have knowledge of processes for classified material handling, classification policies, principles and procedures, standards, and guides. I posses knowledge of rules, procedures, or operations applied to administrative work. I am skilled in office automation programs, tool, and techniques to support office operations. I have a high level of initiative used to plan, organize, and meet deadlines of assigned tasks.
